“One thing I’m fascinated by is the way in which people interrupt formal system in order to encourage people to do a certain thing or go to a certain place. I’m really intrigued by that. I’m also really interested in the way that our streetscape was dictated by things like rivers, as opposed to somewhere like New York where it was built around a grid system. I like that higgledy-piggledy element of it.”
